Raspberry Almond Shortbread Cookies

My experience with this recipe covered the entire spectrum of my life as the haphazard baker. The first time I tried to make these, I added too much sugar because I was distracted and the jelly oozed out over the sides and it was a sad, sad, mess. However, my second attempt created one of the best looking (and best tasting) cookies I've ever made! These are shortbread cookies, so they practically melt in your mouth when you take a bite, and the almond-raspberry combination is divine. I know they look a little complicated, but really, they are quite simple to make!

I am a sucker for basically anything peanut butter-banana and I think I eat the combination in one way or another every single day. So, when I found these bars on pinterest one afternoon I knew I had to give them a try! I modified them by adding some nuts and (of course) extra cinnamon. They are not dense or full of oils and I think will make a great after-running snack for me during the semester!

Snack Attack! Improved Greek Yogurt

As you might expect, I don't spend all my time baking, and I spend even less of it consuming what I have baked. Here's a really quick and easy (and healthy to boot!) snack that is one of my favorites: Greek Yogurt. 

White Chocolate Cherry Almond Vanilla Cookies

I am quite happy to be posting my first recipe for this blog, and I think this one is a fantastic one to start with. Made for my father, who loves all things white chocolate, I accidentally bought big, plump, dried cherries the first time I went to make them instead of cranberries. For the record, I hate all things cherry, but I was pleasantly surprised how well they went with this cookie! I use a liberal amount of vanilla to give it a nice, smooth taste.
