Caramel Apple Cheesecake Dip

I made this dip on a whim earlier this week and it was a hit! However, I don't think it's possible to go wrong with a cream cheese-based dip. I was lazy and used a can of cooked apples instead of making them myself, but it still turned out great!

Ingredients
16oz Can of Cooked Apples (large can)
2tbsp Cinnamon
6oz Plain Cream Cheese
4oz Cinnamon Caramel Apple Cream Cheese
Caramel Sauce (optional)
Plain Pita Chips (for dipping)

1. Dump the contents of the can into a medium sauce pan with the cinnamon and cook over medium heat for about twenty minutes. You'll need to cut the apples up somewhere in this process. I cut them in the pan with a small, sharp knife, but you may fight a less haphazard way to do this.

2. Put the two types of cream cheese in a microwaveable safe bowl and put it in the microwave for about thirty seconds, or just until it's slightly soft. Stir together vigorously.

3. Spread the cream cheese out on a large plate, all the way to the edges. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.

4. Spread the apples on top and stick in the fridge to cool or serve up warm. I drizzled a little bit of caramel on top just to give it a little extra sweetness (not like it needed it). I used some plain pita chips to eat it with, but you could easily use graham crackers or whatever else your heart desires!
